Services on opposite sides

JICA’s FY2023 evaluation places water pipes and communication cables in a covered utility channel on the lagoon side. At the time of evaluation, the power cable still ran through a pipe along the ocean edge. The report describes the causeway as 3.2 km long.[1]

Museum recordings at Bikenibeu

The Ministry page locates Te Umwanibong in Bikenibeu. Its media list includes recordings of historical songs and accounts on cassette; the page also notes that a mwaneaba was built on the museum grounds.[2]

A Bonriki field method

The Pacific Climate Change Portal’s 2015 entry summarizes groundwater fieldwork at the Bonriki Water Reserve and names borehole monitoring as one activity.[3]
