Books made for an exhibition in Reykjavík

The gallery’s Performative Archive records 29 artist books by people working in small European states and territories. Created in 2013 for Subjective Maps / Disappearances at Reykjavík’s National Gallery of Iceland, the project was developed with San Marino institutions, according to the archive.[1]

Stairs between the logge and garden

The gallery lists its home in the Logge dei Volontari beside the Giardino dei Liburni. According to the digital archive, the 1927–36 scheme by engineer Gino Zani has a wide, symmetrical stair layout rising from the base of the Ara dei Volontari to the Logge entrance; the stairs also give access to the Torre delle Milizie and the garden.[2][4]

From sketches to stamps

The tourist office places the Museum of Stamps and Coins on Piazza Garibaldi and says it shows historic material used by San Marino’s post from 1877 onward. Among the exhibits are stamps displayed with sketches by artists.[3]
